Onion "Rossa Savonese"
Hibernal onion "Rossa Savonese".
Medium early, semi-sharp variety.
Due to its excellent ripeness, it allows to get a harvest of excellent quality onions in annual crops, even in the northern regions.
The period from full germination to harvest is 100-105 days.
The bulbs are beautifully shaped, round, dense, weighing 60-100 g, are distinguished by a high content of dry substances and sugars. Covering scales are dark purple, strong, allow for long-term storage of bulbs, without loss of marketability. For larger bulbs, onions are grown in seedlings.
Sowing seeds for seedlings is carried out in March, planting seedlings in open ground - in early May according to the 20x10 cm scheme. It is possible to sow seeds directly into open ground in late April - early May, to a depth of 1.0-1.5 cm.
